    • Session.1: Principles of Weather Satellite Remote Sensing

      This section will cover the principles of weather satellite remote sensing. You will learn about different types of weather satellites (polar and geostationary), sensor types (active and passive), the electromagnetic spectrum, and how radiation interacts with the atmosphere and the Earth's surface. Additionally, you will explore various satellite data resolutions, including spatial, spectral, temporal, and radiometric resolution

    • Session.2: EUMETSAT Data Services (EUMETVIEW)

      EUMETView provides an easy way to visualise a range of satellite data through a customisable web user interface (WebUI) and application programming interfaces (APIs). 

      In addition to providing near real-time data visualisations, EUMETView has an archive of visualisation going back at least two years. The range of data visualisations is constantly evolving, with the recent inclusion of climate data records.
