    MTG Arabic Workshop: Enhancing weather Forecasting with the Third Generation Satellite data

    The WMO Education and Training Office in collaboration with the Center of Excellence-Muscat for Satellite Application Training EUMETSAT is organizing the MTG Arabic Workshop: Enhancing Weather Forecasting with Third-Generation Satellite Data.

    This workshop is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of meteorologists and satellite data analysts, providing practical training on using third-generation satellite data.

    The course will be delivered in two phases:

        1. The online phase will run from 02 to 10 December 2024 and cover key principles of satellite data interpretation, including RGB channels and case studies
        2. The in-person phase will take place from 26 to 30 January 2025 in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. It will include hands-on training in satellite data analysis, daily weather briefings, and the practical application of EUMETSAT open-source tools.
